MOC "Make your Own Creation"

No instructions. Just imagination.

A MOC stands for Make Your Own Creation—and it’s exactly what it sounds like.

No step-by-step booklet.
No “bag 1, bag 2.”
No rules (well… almost none 😄).

Just you, a pile of LEGO® bricks, and whatever wild idea decides to show up in your head.

🚀 What is a MOC?

A MOC is an original build that comes straight from your imagination.

It could be:

  • A spaceship that’s never been seen before
  • A custom version of your favorite Star Wars character or scene
  • A city, castle, monster, vehicle… or something no one can even describe yet

If you thought it up and built it yourself—it’s a MOC.

🧠 Why build a MOC?

Because this is where LEGO® gets really fun.

  • You solve problems
  • You try new techniques
  • You build, rebuild, and then rebuild again
  • You create something that is 100% yours

There’s no “right way”—only your way.

🏆 How our MOC Contests work

Our contests are designed to be fun, fair, and creative for everyone.

🎯 Age Groups

Builders compete within their age range, so everyone has a fair shot:

  • 7 & under
  • 8–12
  • 13–19
  • 20–30
  • 31+

🧱 The Build

  • Must be your original creation
  • No full LEGO® sets allowed
  • Minifigs are okay (unless otherwise stated in the rules)
  • Must meet size guidelines listed for each contest
  • Finally, the build must follow the theme.

👀 What judges are looking for

You don’t need the most pieces—you need the most creativity.

Judging typically looks at:

  • Creativity & originality
  • Building technique
  • Use of parts
  • Overall presentation

Think: “Would someone stop and stare at this?”

🧱 One last thing…

Your build doesn’t have to be perfect.

It just has to be yours.

So grab some bricks, clear off a table, and start building something only you could create.
