Home School Day — Skull Detectives

Home School Day — Skull Detectives

Investigate. Identify. Build!

Put your detective skills to work during our next Home School Day at Bricks & Minifigs Tucson Northwest!

During Skull Detectives, students will explore how the features of an animal's skull can give us clues about how it lives. We'll investigate predator and prey characteristics, including teeth and eye placement, and learn how to identify different animal skulls.

Then it's time to turn science into creativity! Each student will use our bulk LEGO® bricks to design and build an animal of their own, using what they've learned about animal characteristics as inspiration.

🔎 What We'll Explore

  • Predator and prey characteristics
  • How teeth provide clues about an animal's diet
  • What eye placement can tell us about an animal
  • Identifying different animal skulls
  • Designing and building an original LEGO® animal
